Sociologist, with a master degree in health sociology, she has been working at the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) since 2000. At the centre she has been coordinating the area of drugs and prison since 2010. Between 2001 and 2017 she has been coordinating the European treatment demand indicator (TDI) on people entering specialised treatment for problems related to their drug use in the European countries. Before the EMCDDA she has worked for 7 years in the implementation of monitoring systems in the Italian drug addiction services.
